Shore Appliance is a family-owned and operated business established in 1957 in Clinton, CT. Owner Gerry Vece took over the three-person operation in 1982 and grew the business exponentially. His dedication to the community and commitment to building a trustworthy, reliable company served as the foundation for their growth.

In 2011, Gerry’s daughter, Tara Vece, joined the company and opened a location in Groton, CT. The location saw rapid growth in its short tenure .. As co-owners, they acquired Hallock’s Appliance in 2023—one of the state's oldest and largest independent appliance retailers. This expansion continued in 2024 with the acquisition of Morrone Electric, a well-known family business in Westerly, RI.

Drawing from their shared backgrounds in athletics, Gerry and Tara operate with a strong team mentality. They believe their employees are not only teammates but family. By working cohesively and maintaining a positive attitude, the team has provided exceptional customer service to the community for decades.
