This dryer is a great choice for those looking for a dryer that gets the job done but doesn't want all the bells & whistles.
At first, I was a bit hesitant about purchasing this dryer due to the fact that it uses a 110 line and only has the basic features. After using it for about a month, I am very happy about making this choice. I only use the "OPTIMUM" feature and the clothes are dried perfectly...not overly dry or under dry, as long as the texture of the items are similar.

It is only a 110 volt dryer so the drying times are longer. It would be great for an apartment or any space without a 220 volt outlet. There is no buzzer to indicate when the load is dry. There is no interior light. It gets the job done.

Adequate unit that fits stackable space but is slow to dry. Oversized door is nice once opened but is hard to grasp. Door filter works well and is easy to reach but is messy to clean.

The dryer does get the job done for it being just a 120 vlts. I cannot have 240 where I live so this was the only thing I could buy. And it surprised be that not getting too hot, it does dry the clothes. Not as fast, but it does the job.

Got this dryer since it is the mate to the compact GE washer I got earlier this year. Love that washer, but am a bit underwhelmed by the dryer. It cannot handle the same size load that the washer can. I have to split each load in two in order to get the clothes dried in a timely manner.
I do like the placement of the lint filter. It is much easier to clean than the lint filter on my old dryer. The placement of the controls is convenient and easy to operate. Also like that the dryer door closes very securely.

I purchased this dryer because it was small, I needed one for my apartment. When I first used this dryer to me it did not get hot quick enough, however after the third use, this dryer left a different impression on me. It got hot in the amount of time it would take a bigger size dryer, it holds a nice amount of clothes for its size, it does not take long to dry a load of clothes and I love using it.

My dryer should run on 12 amps. It keeps flipping the circuit breaker which is 15 amps.
Electrician tested it at 20! Lowe's does not want to replace.

My Whirlpool lasted many years but the company doesn't manufacture them anymore. I was happy to find a portable still being made. This one doesn't reach as a high temperatures but dries just the same, just longer cycles. I like the hard metal vent tube on the dryer. The companion washer is also very good, but you have to run small loads because without the center agitator, clothes can bunch up on the spin cycle. They are both quiet and do a great job.

It is a good size for apartments, trailer homes and other small spaces. For the size, it does a decent job drying, just a tad longer for heavy cottons. Keep the loads small. 2 heat settings are all most people need.

We bought this last week as a replacement from Home Depot for a spacemaker. However when we opened the dryer, the home depot technician told us it does not have 4 holes below so it can be mounted on the existing rack and bolted with 4 screws from below. I am not sure if this is the right replacement, but it looks exactly the same as our previous dryer and is a pair for the replacement Spacemaker washer model # :WSLS1500H2WW if GE can guide us which is the replacement dryer and where we can purchase it, would be very helpful to us. We are using the standard rack as shown below from the existing washer/dryer pair. Thanks.

It takes a little to get used to. It works on 110V instead of 240V like most other dryers. It takes longer to dry a normal load but eventually it gets there. The lint collector is a little small so you need to empty it pretty often. It is not bad for its size.
